It has supported around 375 studies to date and has had around 100,000 participant visits across a wide range of disciplines, mainly led by investigators from its five Manchester partners:
- The University of Manchester
- Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust [formerly Central Manchester and Manchester Children's University Hospitals NHS Trust]
- Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust
- University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust
- Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust
Examples of key strengths include human performance and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), supported by dedicated teams across four human performance laboratories and radiographers from the Faculty's Translational Imaging Unit. The facility also includes a dedicated children's research facility located in the new Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
