Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility

Run by The University of Manchester and its partner NHS Trusts, this facility provides a supportive, participant-focused environment to host clinical research of the highest scientific standard.

It has supported around 375 studies to date and has had around 100,000 participant visits across a wide range of disciplines, mainly led by investigators from its five Manchester partners:

Examples of key strengths include human performance and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), supported by dedicated teams across four human performance laboratories and radiographers from the Faculty's Translational Imaging Unit. The facility also includes a dedicated children's research facility located in the new Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
