Manchester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC)

The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Manchester BRC is a partnership between the Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and The University of Manchester. We translate developments in biomedical research from the laboratory to the Trust's five hospitals, where they can benefit patients from Greater Manchester and beyond.

The partnership also hosts the NIHR Manchester Musculoskeletal Biomedical Research Unit. The unit conducts laboratory research and clinical assessment to improve outcomes for adults and children with musculoskeletal disorders:

Manchester: Integrating Medicine and Innovative Technology (MIMIT)

The University of Manchester and the major NHS Teaching and Primary Care Trusts have joined forces to create MIMIT - an exciting initiative in Manchester that aims to facilitate collaborations between scientists, clinicians and engineers to develop innovative technology for patient benefit.
