Funding for UK/EU PhD studentships: Alumni Research Impact studentships
The Alumni PhD studentships are open to existing University of Manchester undergraduate or Masters students as well as graduates within the last four years. They are funded via donations from Manchester Alumni and encourage current Manchester students to consider a PhD and academic career.
Any PhD research funded through the Alumni scheme must fall within one of the following 'Research for Society' themes:
- Cancer 2015
- Carbon reduction
- Science and society
- Social cohesion
- Regenerative medicine
- World poverty
