MRIF MR Users Group
The MR Users Group is chaired by Dr Daniela Montaldi.
Remit
The MR Users Group aims to:
- enable all MRIF Users to communicate with each other about what they are doing/planning and to share expertise/resources where possible - with a focus on science.
- provide a forum where potential MRIF, and other, grant applications can be presented and discussed in a helpful way.
- encourage others to consider using MR and this group as a resource when planning studies.
- enable the sharing and discussion of data.
- provide web-based information for users to assist them in their MR research.
- help the MR Strategy sub-committee develop a clearer research direction for MR research in Manchester.
- feed problems, resource issues etc back to the MR strategy sub-committee.
- feed technical queries through to the MR Strategy sub-committee.
Meetings
Junior members of your team are encouraged to attend meetings as a networking opportunity and source of support. The ethos underlying these meeting will be informal, friendly and supportive.
There will also be a six-monthly review (via a friendly semi-formal presentation) of all MRIF imaging grants awarded to members of the University, this gives an opportunity for all users to represent their findings to the MRIF Operational Executive and to fellow users.
The MR Users Group has monthly meetings (on the second Monday of each month). These take place at 2pm, Cognitive Brain Imaging Laboratory (formerly EDIA Lab), Zochonis Building (unless otherwise stated).
