The PET clinical suite at the Wolfson Molecular Imaging Centre combines leading edge equipment with a patient friendly environment.
Scanning
- Siemens TrueV PET-CT scanner. State-of-the-art PET-CT scanner capable list mode acquisition and 5mm resolution for high end PET research
- Siemens / CTI HRRT PET brain scanner. A PET research machine capable of 2.5mm resolution
- Two HIDEX, GMP compatible, 15O – Water generators based in each scanning suite
- Custom built radioactive gas delivery system for controlled delivery of radioactive gases straight from the cyclotron
- Gravatom PET tracer dispensing systems for safe handling of PET tracers in the clinical area. ISOMED dose calibration systems
- Custom built, BGO based, arterial blood counters
- Medrad injector for CT contrast
- Motion correction technology for use in brain imaging
Bioanalysis Lab
- 3 x Shimadzu High Performance Liquid Chromatography systems
- Custom built, high performance, NaI based, manual well counter
- NOVA Biomedical blood gas analyser
- PerkinElmer automatic gamma counter
