Recruitment under way for a world-class scientist to lead the Centre's PET radiochemistry programme

The University of Manchester has initiated a search for a new Chair in Radiochemistry to lead the radiochemistry development programme at the Wolfson Molecular Imaging Centre. This is a unique opportunity to develop a translational radiochemistry research programmes involving PET molecular imaging techniques to improve the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The successful candidate will be expected to build on the solid platform of achievements already established within the facility by its current radiochemistry staff, and in so doing maximise the potential for significant advances in the science of PET radiochemistry offered by the Centre's world-class facilities. It is also anticipated that through the creation of this position, the opportunities for collaboration with industrial partners will be optimised.
We are looking for an individual with an international track record in radiopharmaceutical research involving collaborations with research councils, charities and the pharmaceutical industry, and extensive experience in the leadership and management of cGMP and experimental radochemistry laboratories.
