Good Clinical Practice Online

We are pleased to announce that Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training is now available online. The MHS Faculty and CMFT have worked with Epigeum to provide the free online training course. You can register for the training via the 'GCP Online' registration link. Remember to use your University email address to register.

When you have registered, you can access the training through the 'GCP Online' home page.

If you would like any further information about GCP and how it relates to your research practice, or if you experience any problems trying to register, or with the training itself, please contact the MHS Research Practice Co-ordinator Richard Sherburn, or the MHS Research Governance Facilitator Kelly Birtwell.

Intellectual Property Resources

The 'IP Awareness Resource' has been especially commissioned and designed for the University’s academics, students and research staff and its aim is to increase the awareness of IP and demonstrate the benefits of its commercialisation to the University and the IP generator.

You will find a series of video clips by professionals and academic colleagues on various aspects of IP and its commercialisation. The resource will give you a valuable insight into the types of IP which can be used to protect novel ideas/inventions and how, for example, IP can be commercialised via spin-out or licence with the help of UMIP.

JISC's Web2 Practice Guides

If you are thinking about using web2tools for research, administration or teaching then these resources are for you. The web2practice guides explain how emergent web technologies like RSS, microblogging, podcasting and social media can enhance your working practice. Each guide consists of a short animated video explaining the key concepts (such as microblogging in the example below), supported by a more in-depth guide covering potential uses, risks and how to get started.
